A book signing with George Harbeson Jr., author of "Homesteaders in the Headlights: One family's journey from a depression-era New Jersey farm to a new life in Wasilla, Alaska," will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday at the museum. The museum's annual outdoor art exhibit, Facing the Elements, is on display along the museum's forest trail until Oct. 1. Boreal Birch, an art and science exhibit, is on display in the special exhibits gallery until Oct. 2.

Marvelous Mondays story hour will be July 18 and 25 from 11 a.m.-noon. The Object at Hand is 2-3 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through July 29.

Seebird Cam is on all day, every day this summer, in the Marine Gallery. Fish feedings are every Tuesday and Friday at 4 p.m., also in the Marine Gallery.

Historic harbor walking tours are Fridays and Saturdays through Aug. 20. Meet at 3 p.m. at the Pratt wheelhouse near the Salty Dawg on the Spit. Cost is $5 per person.
