A man at 7:15 a.m. reported finding a small amount of cash outside a Sterling Highway grocery store. A man at 10:55 a.m. reported his backpack was stolen from his car parked on Fairview Avenue. Several callers at 12:52 p.m. reported an ATV rider speeding in a Homer Spit parking lot. A man at 3:56 p.m. reported a dead dog on Bishops Beach. A caller at 7:02 p.m. reported an unconscious woman near an East End Road business. The woman was taken to South Peninsula Hospital for evaluation of intoxication. A caller at 8 p.m. asked for patrol of the beach below his fathers Seabreeze Court home. The caller said people had a campfire and a loose dog there and shouldnt be allowed to remain. A caller at 7:25 a.m. reported an expected death of a woman at her Slavin Drive home. A man at 8:42 a.m. reported vandalized stop signs on Ben Walters Lane. A woman at 4:10 p.m. reported she lost her camera. Several callers at 5:05 p.m. reported hearing gunshots in the Rogers Loop area. Police contacted the suspect and arrested a 42-year-old man for DUI and driving while license revoked. July 5 A woman at 11:41 a.m. reported a stolen bicycle from a Lake Street parking lot. A man at 12:47 p.m. reported finding a backpack with drug paraphernalia in the Grubstake Avenue area. A caller at 12:42 p.m. reported possible child abuse at a Bartlett Street address. Police responded and determined the incident did not rise to the level of a crime. A woman at 4:10 p.m. reported physical abuse at a Sterling Highway motel. A person at 1:51 a.m. made a 911 call of a domestic disturbance at a Sterling Highway home. Police responded and took a weapon for safekeeping. A woman at 11:37 a.m. reported receiving harassing text messages from her ex-boyfriend. A man at 5:34 p.m. reported extensive credit card use by a child. A caller at 9:03 p.m. reported three young people trespassing on school grounds at Homer High School. Police responded and told the children to leave. Police took the woman into protective custody. A caller at 1:43 a.m. reported a drunk man walking into traffic on Pioneer Avenue and throwing rocks at businesses. Police arrested a 27-year-old man for harassment. A man at 10:32 a.m. asked for police assistance for a child who leaves home without permission. Police suggested some options. A man at 2:53 p.m. reported a runaway child. The child later returned home. A caller at 5:29 p.m. reported a dead cat in the road on Heath Street. July 9 Police at 2:29 a.m. contacted a vehicle at the Karen Hornaday Park after hours and informed the driver of no-camping rules in that area.
