A person at 9:40 a.m. reported a man sitting in a car on East End Road might have suicidal thoughts. Police checked on the man and determined he was OK.

A woman at 2:59 p.m. reported a hit-and-run accident to her black GMC pickup truck.

A woman at 6:42 p.m. reported a lost credit card.

A caller at 8:28 p.m. reported that two former employees who had been let go from a Pioneer Avenue business might try to retaliate.

Police at 10:51 p.m. issued a trespass notice to a man from a Danview Avenue business.

June 30

Police at 3:18 a.m. contacted the driver of a car on Pioneer Avenue and arrested him for DUI.

A man at 7:15 a.m. reported finding a small amount of cash outside a Sterling Highway grocery store.

A man at 10:55 a.m. reported his backpack was stolen from his car parked on Fairview Avenue.

Several callers at 12:52 p.m. reported an ATV rider speeding in a Homer Spit parking lot.

A man at 3:56 p.m. reported a dead dog on Bishops Beach.

A caller at 7:02 p.m. reported an unconscious woman near an East End Road business. The woman was taken to South Peninsula Hospital for evaluation of intoxication.

A caller at 8 p.m. asked for patrol of the beach below his fathers Seabreeze Court home. The caller said people had a campfire and a loose dog there and shouldnt be allowed to remain.

A caller at 8:04 p.m. reported a driver in a small pickup truck backed into a skiff in a Sterling Highway parking lot and drove away.

A caller at 8:46 p.m. reported a man displayed threatening body movements outside a Sterling Highway business. Police arrested a 40-year-old man for trespassing.

A harbor officer at 9:17 p.m. reported fireworks being used on the Spit.

A woman at 9:55 p.m. reported a missing person. Police determined the person was in jail at Wildwood Correctional Facility in Kenai and advised the caller.

Police at 11:08 p.m. contacted a 26-year-old man driving on the Spit and arrested him for violating conditions of release and driving without insurance.

July 1

A caller at 1:05 a.m. reported hearing gunshots near the Bridge Creek Reservoir.

Police at 3:58 a.m. stopped a 40-year-old woman driving on Lake Street and arrested her for DUI.

A caller at 7:25 a.m. reported an expected death of a woman at her Slavin Drive home.

A man at 8:42 a.m. reported vandalized stop signs on Ben Walters Lane.

A woman at 4:10 p.m. reported she lost her camera.

Several callers at 5:05 p.m. reported hearing gunshots in the Rogers Loop area.

A caller at 9:44 p.m. reported a man stumbling in the road on Pioneer Avenue. Police contacted the man and got him a taxi.

A woman at 11:26 p.m. asked for police assistance in issuing a trespass notice to an ex-employee from a Sterling Highway business. The woman called back later and said the ex-employee had been cooperative and signed trespass paperwork.

A person at 11:04 p.m. made a 911 call of people fighting on Bishops Beach.

July 2

A man at 6:42 a.m. reported he heard two gunshots in the Ben Walters Lane area.

July 4

A caller at 2:59 p.m. reported drug activity at Ben Walters Park.

A person a 3:44 p.m. made a report every dangerous driver immediately complaint of a driver on the Sterling Highway. Police contacted the suspect and arrested a 42-year-old man for DUI and driving while license revoked.

July 5

A woman at 11:41 a.m. reported a stolen bicycle from a Lake Street parking lot.

A man at 12:47 p.m. reported finding a backpack with drug paraphernalia in the Grubstake Avenue area.

A caller at 12:42 p.m. reported possible child abuse at a Bartlett Street address. Police responded and determined the incident did not rise to the level of a crime.

A woman at 4:10 p.m. reported physical abuse at a Sterling Highway motel. Police arrested a 46-year-old Anchorage man for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

A man at 7:04 p.m. reported smoke from a possible fire on the Sterling Highway. Police and firefighters responded.

July 6

Police at 1:08 a.m. issued a summons to a 25-year-old man for driving while license suspended.

A woman at 9:45 a.m. reported vandalism of property on Pioneer Avenue.

A woman at 2:15 p.m. reported a pickup driver speeding near pedestrians on Bishops Beach.

A woman at 10:01 a.m. asked for extra patrols because of illegal camping at an Ocean Drive lot.

A woman at 5 p.m. made a 911 call of people in a motorhome camping illegally on Woodside Avenue.

A caller at 5:15 p.m. reported a flower basket was stolen from a nonprofit organization on Ben Walters Lane.

A caller at 6:05 p.m. reported theft of a credit card and use of it at a Lake Street business. Police arrested a 35-year-old woman for theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.

A hospital employee at 10:58 p.m. reported a drunk man left the hospital on foot. Police contacted the man for a probation revocation.

A caller at 10:58 p.m. reported his niece might have been abducted. Police responded to a Crossman Ridge address and the niece was recovered.

July 7

A person at 1:12 a.m. made a 911 call of a domestic disturbance at a Fairview Avenue home. Police responded and arrested a 26-year-old man for driving while license revoked.

A person at 1:51 a.m. made a 911 call of a domestic disturbance at a Sterling Highway home. Police responded and took a weapon for safekeeping.

A woman at 11:37 a.m. reported receiving harassing text messages from her ex-boyfriend.

A man at 5:34 p.m. reported extensive credit card use by a child.

A caller at 9:03 p.m. reported three young people trespassing on school grounds at Homer High School. Police responded and told the children to leave.

A man at 10:47 p.m. made a 911 call that a drunk man refused to leave a Main Street address.

A caller at 11:34 p.m. made a 911 call of a REDDI vehicle on FAA Road. Police responded and arrested a 32-year-old man for DUI, refusal to submit to a breath test and marijuana possession.

July 8

A caller at 1:25 a.m. reported a drunk woman on Main Street. Police took the woman into protective custody.

A caller at 1:43 a.m. reported a drunk man walking into traffic on Pioneer Avenue and throwing rocks at businesses. Police arrested a 27-year-old man for harassment.

A man at 10:32 a.m. asked for police assistance for a child who leaves home without permission. Police suggested some options.

A man at 2:53 p.m. reported a runaway child. The child later returned home.

A caller at 5:29 p.m. reported a dead cat in the road on Heath Street.

A caller at 9:13 p.m. reported a drunk person stumbling into traffic on Kachemak Drive. Police gave the person a ride home.

July 9

Police at 2:29 a.m. contacted a vehicle at the Karen Hornaday Park after hours and informed the driver of no-camping rules in that area.
