Vessels of Hope sponsors The Thursday Dialogues 7-9 p.m. at Vessels of Hope Resource Center, 182 E. Pioneer Ave. This weeks presentation is "Globalization Moves to a New Level: Superpower Summit in Canada," a discussion about the recent Global 8 meeting. Call 235-6642.

Wynn Nature Center sponsors an evening lecture, "Northern Native Stories," with an Inupiaq storyteller at 7 p.m. at Mile 1.5 East Skyline Dr. Call 235-6667.

Saturday, July 13

Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies celebrates its 20th anniversary 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at Peterson Bay on the <>3.6 tide. Adults are $35 and children under 12 are $20, including boat trip and lunch. The center sponsors a free family program, "Moose Mania," 10 a.m.-noon at the Wynn Nature Center, Mile 1.5 East Skyline Drive. Call 235-6667.

Sunday, July 14

Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies continues its 20th anniversary celebration with guided nature walks 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and a benefit barbecue 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Wynn Nature Center. The barbecue is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

Monday, July 15

The Public Health nurse visits the Port Graham Clinic starting at 8:30 a.m. for well-child checks, immunizations, Women-Infant-Children program, pregnancy tests and health counseling and education. Call 235-8857 or (800) 770-8857.

The Public Health nurse visits the Nanwalek Clinic starting at 9 a.m. for well-child checks, immunizations, WIC program, pregnancy tests and health counseling and education.

Homer City Council Committee of the Whole meets at 4 p.m. followed by the City Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall.
