Rain dampened the Ninilchik Rodeo Saturday, but sunshine on the Fourth of July brought out large turnouts for the second day of the rodeo, as well as parades in Anchor Point and Homer. On the Anchor Point Road, people watched a parade of fire vehicles, classic cars and monster trucks. In Homer, Pioneer Avenue crowds were sometimes three deep for the parade, themed "Homer Our Town USA."
