Anchor Point enjoys fun-filled Fourth

By Jennifer Henley

What a great Fourth of July celebration Anchor Point had. A big thank you goes out to the Anchor Point Chamber of Commerce and all the volunteers for putting on a great Community Family Fun Day. It was all wonderful — from the community picnic to the small parade. Kids had a great time digging through the sawdust pile in search of the hidden coins. The looks on the children's faces when they finally came up with a coin were simply priceless.

Then came the duck race. As the ducks were being set in the water there were many sounds of cheering and coaxing the ducks to "go go go" to the finish line. It was great to see all the smiles in the crowd and to sit back and hear all the laughter. What a great community.

Have a great weekend. Be safe and good luck on the water.
