Assistant manager named

Dawn Schneider was promoted to assistant general manager at Land's End Resort earlier this spring.

She was special events coordinator prior to this position, but has been an employee of Land's End Resort, in various positions, for more than 10 years, including executive chef.

Modular homes coming

Yenney and Associates Construction has been selected by Stratford Building Corp. as an authorized builder and dealer of the company's modular homes.

According to a release by Stratford Building Corp., the custom modular homes have been increasing in popularity, and currently account for 7 percent of custom homes built in America. The company is based in northern Idaho and has been building homes since 1994. For more information about the buildings, call 235-7658.

KBBI gets final funding

Homer's public radio station, KBBI, announced Friday it had secured the funding necessary for its comprehensive digital equipment replacement project. The third and final funding component, $57,000, was awarded to the station on June 14 by M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust. Other grantors included the Rasmuson Foundation, which granted $50,000 in June 2001, and the Public Telecommunications Facilities Program, which granted $48,000 in February 2001. The entire project will cost $184,000.
