June 20

Alaska Wildlife Troopers alleged a vessel operated a drift gillnet in closed waters out of Cordova. Troopers issued a summons to a 22-year-old Homer man for fishing in close waters.

June 22

Wildlife troopers cited a 21-year-old Homer man for commercial fishing in closed waters outside of the Eshamy District near Valdez.

June 24

Alaska Wildlife Troopers at 12:20 a.m. contacted a sport fishing party when their boat returned to the Homer Harbor. They allege a 46-year-old Palmer man took five halibut, three over the daily bag limit of two. Troopers seized the over limit fish and cited the man for taking an over limit of halibut. Bail was set at $260.

Alaska Bureau of Investigation troopers received a report from the Wyoming Penitentiary that a fugitive who escaped in 1981 might be living in Alaska. The Alaska Fugitive Task Force searched for a 57-year-old Wasilla man and located him in Seldovia. Seldovia police found the man at a caf and arrested him without incident. He will be extradited to Wyoming.

June 29

Wildlife troopers in a patrol aircraft alleged seeing a vessel operating a drift gillnet during a closed period. Troopers cited the permit holder, a 43-year-old Homer man.

Alaska State Troopers at 9:35 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 19-year-old Anchor Point man and cited him for driving while license revoked.

Alaska Bureau of Highway Patrol troopers at 10:50 p.m. stopped a 39-year-old Homer man for speeding near Mile 39 Sterling Highway. Troopers allege the man drove in violation of a limitation on his license and issued him a summons.

June 30

Wildlife troopers cited a 71-year-old Homer man for personal use fishing in the Kasilof River without a permit after contacting him fishing on the south beach of the river. Bail was set at $210.

Wildlife troopers contacted a 20-year-old Homer man commercial fishing in Bristol Bay and cited him for fishing without a valid 2012 commercial crewmember license in possession. Bail was set at $260.

July 1

Wildlife troopers cited a 44-year-old Homer man for fishing in closed waters of Bristol Bay.
