Have a happy 4th of July. But don't be duped into supporting the fascist agenda that has controlled the United States for the previous 28 years of Bush-Reagan fascism. As described by Chris Hedges (Harvard Divinity School graduate) in his excellent book "American Fascists" (Dewey Decimal 322.1), "Pat Robertson and other radio and televangelists began speaking about a new religion that would direct its efforts at taking control of all institutions, including mainstream denominations and the government. Its stated goal was to use the United States to create a global Christian empire." Also from the book: "The Nazis were not going to return with swastikas and brown shirts. Their ideological inheritors in America had found a mask for fascism in patriotism and the pages of the Bible." From "Fascism Anyone?" by Laurence Britt, and 14 points of fascism -- Project for the OLD American Century, the first 10 of 14 indicators of all fascist movements are:

1. Powerful and continuing nationalism;

2. Disdain for the recognition of human rights;

3. Identification of enemies, scapegoats as a unifying cause;

4. Supremacy of the military;

5.Rampant sexism;

6. Controlled mass media;

7. Obsession with national security;

8. Religion and government are intertwined;

9. Corporate power is protected;

10. Labor power is suppressed.
