The new Eveline Trail is a wildflower lover's feast. I have never in my long lifetime seen such a profusion of wildflowers all in bloom at the same time. Now is the hour.

To find the Eveline Trail, go one mile past McNeil Canyon School, turn left on Alpine Meadows. Soon a statue appears on the right, and on your left is the new Eveline Trail, a gift to the state park system, managed by our own Dave Brann, with even a picnic table and an outhouse.
