Court records show the following actions taken in Homer District Court through June 22:

Judgments

Alexandra Basargin, 34, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a breath test, and was judged not guilty on both charges in a jury trial.

William O. Daugherty, 47, charge dismissed, third-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, lack of preliminary hearing.

Charles R. Kuzakin Jr., 41, Anchorage, charge dismissed, driving while license revoked. He pleaded guilty to refusal to submit to a breath test. He was fined $4,000 with $1,000 suspended and sentenced to 270 days in jail with 240 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $1,467 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his drivers license revoked for one year; and was placed on probation for five years.

David T. Nelson, 25, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 45 days in jail with 42 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $330 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his drivers license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.

Russ M. Merritt, 19, pleaded guilty to reckless driving. He was fined $500 and sentenced to 40 days in jail with 35 days suspended; ordered to perform 40 hours of community work service in lieu of jail time; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; had his drivers license revoked for 30 days; and was placed on probation for one year.

Brandon C. Clay, 31, pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal trespassing. He was fined $500 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 40 days in jail with 35 days suspended; ordered to perform 40 hours of community work service in lieu of jail time; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $27.99; and was placed on probation for one year.

Michael G. Vancleve, 52, Anchorage, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 87 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $330 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his drivers license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for two years.

Lynn P. Schmidt, 66, Anchor Point, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 45 days in jail with 43 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $330 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his drivers license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.

Mark A. Smith, 32, pleaded guilty at his arraignment to driving while license revoked. He was sentenced to 20 days in jail with 10 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; had his drivers license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for two years.

Criminal Court

Bruce C. Larson Jr., 52, fourth-degree assault on a police officer, first-degree criminal trespass, resisting or interfering with arrest, first-degree harassment, disorderly conduct.

Jedidia C. Gautier, 23, driving in violation of instructional permit.

Benjamin J. Hoy, 20, Anchorage, motor vehicle liability insurance required.

Terry J. Lashley-Elliot, 32, cruelty to animals, a felony, fourth-degree assault.

William G. Marshall Jr., 62, driving under the influence.

Christopher T. Murphy, 23, motor vehicle liability insurance required, sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.

Rayce C. Johnson, 17, minor consuming alcohol.

Tevin J. Hopper, 19, Anchor Point, repeat minor consuming alcohol.

Steven A. Penley, Grandby, Colo., 62, fillet or mutilate halibut in violation of International Pacific Halibut Commission and National Marine Fisheries Service regulations.

Robert K. Lalonde, 23, DUI, driving while license revoked, driving in violation of limitations placed on license, motor vehicle liability insurance required, sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.

Fedora J. Hedrick, 68, fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Richard E. Zielinski, 45, tampering with physical evidence, two counts, felony indictment.

Peter J. Rynshoven Jr., 62, second-degree assault, third-degree assault, two counts, felony indictment.
