Ninilchik Clam Jam 4 p.m. Kenai Peninsula State Fairgrounds Four bands take over the Kenai Peninsula State Fairs outdoor stage at the Ninilchik fairgrounds for the first-ever Clam Jam. Bands include Barroom Roses from Homer, 907 from Kenai, Men with Guns from Nikiski and Unseen Empire from Anchorage. People say they want music so were bringing it to them and hoping they mean it, said Lara McGinnis, fair manager. Its everything from a little blues to heavy metal to rock. In addition to music, there also will be burgers and hot dogs and a beer garden to add to the festivities.
