Tend Asaiah's gardens
Dear Editor,

This is an open letter to all those wonderful folks who have been, continue to be, or wish to be Keepers of Brother Asaiah's Gardens. Gardening season is well upon us and there are a number of seven-foot sections of garden surrounding WKFL Park that are in desperate need of weeding, watering and general TLC. I have marked those sections that need adopting with green flagging tape. There is red flagging tape under the tree with which to replace the green once a piece is adopted.

Please consider helping with the garden this year. A big thank you to Hospice of Homer, which has adopted a section as their Memorial Garden. It will be fun to watch the spot fill up with color.

Feel free to call me with any questions. I would be glad to help you choose a plot: 235-7700 during the day and 235-7914 in the evening and early morning.

Thank you all.

Annie Whitney
