Group raises awareness of oceans

On Sunday, June 19, Surfider Alaska held a potluck at Bishop's Beach Pavilion in Homer to celebrate International Surf Day. Attended by more than 40 local residents, this event was one of more than 200 taking place in 26 different countries. Surfrider Alaska is committed to raising awareness of the state of our oceans, waves and beaches and to help protect and preserve these beloved places.

Surfrider Alaska would like to thank the city of Homer, Cook Inletkeeper, Dave Aplin, Surf Alaska, Latitude 59 and all those who brought tasty treats for their support of this event and Surfrider Alaska.

Surfrider Alaska is open to anyone who loves the ocean and beach. Become a member today.
