Homer Alaska - Letters

I was raised by the entire community of Homer and I can't even begin to express how thankful I am. Somewhere between witnessing The Easter Bunny drop from a helicopter at an Elks celebration, the huge amount of support received for my choir's trip to Europe, the incessant loving dedication of my friends, family and teachers, the endless opportunities that only Homer kids get and of course, the undying support of this wonderful town, I am forever in love with Homer.

Thank you all for providing me with the greatest childhood I could ever hope for and for laying the foundation of the woman I have grown to become. It has truly been a blessing spending the past 18 years in beautiful Homer.

I personally want to thank the following businesses and associations for their most recent support in sending me into the big and adventurous world by granting me scholarships: Ken Fisher Memorial, Kachemak Bay Medical Clinic, Drew Scalzi Memorial, Homer Emblem Club No. 350, Kachemak Board of Realtors, Kachemak Bay Lions, Homer Elks Lodge No. 2127, and the Elks National Foundation. Last but not least I want to thank my truly incredible, wonderful, dedicated and gracious mom for all that she has done. Thank you all so much.

This fall I will be attending Metropolitan State College of Denver to receive a bachelor of science degree in aviation. Thank you for the support, the memories and for building Alaskan girls tough.
