June 13

A caller at 10 a.m. reported a Pioneer Avenue business did not return jewelry.

A woman at 5:28 p.m. reported a dog chased her son on Rochelle Avenue. Police advised the animal control officer.

A man at 5:55 p.m. reported a dog bit him on Freight Dock Road. Police advised the animal control officer.

A caller at 7:07 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a woman.

A man at 7:20 p.m. reported items taken from his boat on Kachemak Drive.

Police at 8:41 p.m. contacted a driver on Kachemak Drive and determined he had the wrong plates on his pickup truck. Police advised the man to remove the plates and go to the Alaska Division of Motor Vehicles.

A caller at 10:49 p.m. reported a 32-year-old man passed out at a Pioneer Avenue business. Police responded and arrested him for fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

June 14

A man at 8:34 a.m. reported an item taken from his former residence.

A man at 4:53 p.m. reported being threatened at a Sterling Highway business.

A boy at 4:45 p.m. turned in a rifle found in the woods near Steller Jay Drive.

June 15

A man at 12:32 p.m. reported receiving harassing text messages.

A caller at 1:25 p.m. reported witnessing an illegal drug exchange.

A caller at 3:29 p.m. reported seeing a man shooting a rifle from a car on Bunnell Avenue. Police could not locate the suspect.

A caller at 9:31 p.m. reported people camping in a no-camping area near the Airport Beach Access Road.

June 16

A caller from Homer City Hall at 8:05 a.m. reported a driver parked a vehicle across two spaces in the lot. Police responded and had the car towed.

A woman at 9:44 a.m. reported being chased by two large aggressive dogs in her driveway off West Hill Road. Police and the animal control officer responded. A responsible party arrived to take control of the dogs.

A caller at 1:04 p.m. reported people camping in a no-camping area near the Airport Beach Access Road.

Police at 4 p.m. arrested a 59-year-old man on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.

Police at 5:03 p.m. assisted EMTs with a bicycle accident on Latham Lane off East Hill Road.

A man at 6 p.m. reported gas stolen from his car while it was parked at a Heath Street lot.

A woman at 7:53 p.m. reported seeing unusual splashing in the water off the Homer Spit and then finding an abandoned surf-type board on the beach. Police responded and found everything OK.

June 17

Police at 1:27 a.m. contacted two women carrying rifles in the Clearwater Drive and Skyline Drive area.
