Scholarships appreciated
I graduated this past May and have been awarded several generous scholarships to be used toward tuition at the university I will be attending in Tacoma, Wash., this fall. The Homer Foundation provided me with two scholarships. The Health Care Providers Scholarship gave me a generous $1,000 and the Homer Community Science Scholarship granted me $500. In addition to these, the Homer Elks Lodge No. 2127 granted me a generous $1,250 for my education at Pacific Lutheran University.
I would like to thank the Foundation and the Elks Lodge for their generosity and for selecting me out of the field of many worthy applicants. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank the community of Homer for their many local scholarships that assist graduating students.
