Anyone interested in serving on Fireweed Academy's hiring committee and helping select a full-time principal for the charter school is asked to contact Fireweed secretary Janet Bowen by 2 p.m. Friday. The school's APC, academic policy committee, has determined the committee will be comprised of two parents of alumni, two parents of current students, a teacher representing grades K-2, a teacher representing grades 3-6 and Garry Betley, one of Fireweed's founders.
