Homer Fire
Information about fire, police and troopers is taken from public records consisting of logbooks and press releases.

June 4

EMTs at 6 p.m. went to the hospital to transport a 13-year-old boy and a medivac team to the airport.

June 5

Firefighters at 2:34 a.m. went to an unattended controlled burn on Green Timbers Road. They found a 20-by-30 foot burn allegedly in violation of state burning rules. Firefighters cooled down the fire and turned it over to the Alaska Division of Forestry.

A fire officer at noon investigated a controlled burn on Waterman Way. He alleged the burn to be in violation of city and state burning rules and advised the property owner to put out the fire.

June 6

EMTs and rescue workers at 1:04 p.m. went to a semi-tractor trailer rollover on Ocean Drive. They did not find any injuries or hazards and assisted the driver out of the truck. The scene was released to Homer Police.

Firefighters at 9:13 p.m. investigated a possible freon gas leak at the Teen Center on Lake Street. They checked for hazards and did not find any. Firefighters advised center officials to contact a refrigerant repair expert.

June 10

EMTs at 6:53 a.m. went to a Kachemak Drive home and transported a 44-year-old man to the hospital.
