The Anchor River Fitness Center at the Anchor River Inn holds its grand opening Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to visit Anchor Point's newest facility. Demonstrations of equipment and lifting techniques will be given throughout the day. Refreshments will also be provided.
Sen. Jerry Ward is the featured speaker at the Anchor Point Chamber of Commerce's noon luncheon meeting on Wednesday, June 26 at the Anchor River Inn.
Faith Lutheran Church of Homer will be sponsoring a vacation Bible school at the Anchor Point Senior Center from Monday through next Friday, June 21. The school for children ages 3 years to sixth grade students will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Bible team members from Dallas are co-sponsoring the school. Anchor Point Senior Citizens weekly Thursday dinner tonight will feature oven-fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetable, roll, dessert and beverage. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. Friday night bingo will be 7 p.m. at the center. Have a night out and bring a friend or your visiting summer company. Out-of-town visitors with campers are welcome to park on the
