Is there any end to the ridiculous ideas the Homer administration and city council come up with? A seasonal sales tax as well as 1 percent for art are the last things this community needs. Homer already has the highest property and sales taxes on the Peninsula. Additional taxes will only drive more residents north to make their purchases. The city is supersaturated with not-for-profits and is in dire need of real economic development.
The Homer motto "Homer, The City of Upturned Palms:" let's change it.
