William Robert Coon

He was born Jan. 20, 1957, in Jamestown, N.Y., a son of Beatrice Pedersen Coon and the late Glenn R. Coon. Bill attended Southwestern Central School, and was self-employed while in Jamestown. After moving to Alaska in 1991, he worked in the oil fields and logging business.
Besides his mother, he is survived by four sisters: Joyce (Charles) Roof of Jamestown, N.Y., Janet (Donald) Doud of Ellington, N.Y., Lou Ann (Brian) Platt of Fountain, Colo., and Rachel (Harold) Roberts of Bear Lake, Pa. Also, he is survived by a brother, Jonathan Coon of Celoron, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by two infant sons: William Robert Jr., and Jeremy William; his father in 1991; and a brother, Jerry in 2006.
William Robert Coon, 54, of Anchor Point, formerly of Busti, N.Y., died May 16, 2011, following a brief illness.
