First American Title honors Homer manager

Mary Ann Rowe

First American Title has announced Mary Ann Rowe as the Service Star Award winner for May.

Rowe is the Homer branch manager for First American Title. She has held the position for 10 years.

The Service Star is awarded on a monthly basis. The award is presented based on votes by peers and clients throughout the state for "repeatedly going above and beyond while performing extraordinary customer service for our internal and external customers," according to a press release from First American Title.

Those receiving the Service Star Award get a star trophy and a traveling plaque to keep in their office for a month.

Rowe represents the eight statewide offices of First American Title in this recognition.

In December 2009, the Kachemak Board of Realtors presented Rowe with their first "Colleague of the Year" award.

Rowe moved to Alaska in 1974, stopping first in Anchorage before making Homer her home in 1977.
