Cranes death from childs eyes

Me and my friend Sophie were driving home from our friends house. As we went along the road, I saw a flash of bright orange. I squinted and saw an arrow in a dead sandhill crane. I told my mom and we stopped. My mom called the troopers. She said it was time to go, but I did not want to leave the bird. I started to cry. Then the trooper came. When he picked it up, I saw the arrow had gone through the bird and out the other side.

When we got home we put up a wind chime in memory of the crane. I hope nobody does this again.
