Sarah Zeller, a 1996 Homer High School graduate, graduated summa cum laude from San Diego State University, Calif., with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. Her brother, Josh Zeller, a 1986 Homer High School graduate, graduated with honors from San Francisco State University with a Master of Arts degree in education.

Sarah is the daughter of Martin Zeller and Karen Wessel. Josh is the son of Martin Zeller and Betsy Pitzman. Their grandmother is Mary Friedman.

Jamie Gonzales graduated magna cum laude from George Fox University, Newberg, Ore., with a Bachelor of Arts in writing and literature. Formerly of Homer, she is the daughter of Michael and Caryn Gonzales of Long Beach, Calif.

Ann Slabaugh graduated from George Fox University with a Bachelor of Arts in writing and literature. She is the daughter of Phil and Rachel Slabaugh.

Carson Ingels made the winter semester dean's list at Kettering University, Flint, Mich. for earning a grade average of at least 92.

William Creamer and Clayton Smith made the spring semester honor roll at Montana State University, Bozeman for earning at least a 3.5 grade-point average.

Alaska Youth for Environmental Action hosts a "summer get together" Saturday-Saturday, Aug. 10-17. Students learn skills in leadership, project planning and group building. To apply, contact Nina Faust at 235-6262.
