May 21-27 Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to six medical calls and three fire calls. May 21 Firefighters provided mutual aid of a tanker and brush truck to the Anchor Point Volunteer Fire Department for a wildland fire off Tall Tree Road. May 24 Firefighter and rescue crews went at 2:19 p.m. to Bishops Beach for two people stranded on the roof of a car being flooded by the high tide. The water had reached the top of the wheels by the time crews arrived. An ambulance and a rescue boat responded. The stranded people waded through waist deep water. The rescue boat wasnt launched. Both people refused medical treatment and were OK. Firefighters provided mutual aid with a tanker and brush truck to the Anchor Point Volunteer Fire Department for a structure fire off Cape Ninilchik Road. The fire had begun spreading into nearby grass. Firefighters helped Anchor Point crews put out the structure fire.
