Based on the idea of a 1940s-style radio show, "Raven's Radio Hour," a play by Jack Dalton and Ed Bourgeois, opens this weekend at Pier One Theater on the Homer Spit. Sponsored by Pier One and Bunnell Street Arts Center, Bunnell director Asia Freeman describes "Raven's Radio Hour" as "an Alaska Native 'Prairie Home Companion.'" With the host of Raven, the quintessential creator and trickster of Alaska Native cultures, the show is a romp through Native cultures that also honors the importance of story. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Parental guidance is suggested. Admission is $15 general, $13 senior, $12 members of Pier One or Bunnell, and $10 youth.
