Land Trust holds fund-raisers
Kachemak Heritage Land Trust's series of fund-raising activities this summer include a morning bird hike, tree sale and garden tour this week.

On Saturday, birders and outdoor enthusiasts can join Mossy Kilcher for a morning bird hike starting at 8 a.m. at the Kilcher homestead. Meet her at Kilcher Road at Mile 12 East End Road. Cost is $10 per person, $12 per family.

Also on Saturday, the trust's annual tree sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Eagle Quality Center. Gardener Toby Tyler will be on hand to advise the best selections of hardy trees and shrubs.

Tyler will also give a tour of his East End gardens every Tuesday through Thursday in June. Call 235-5171 for a recorded message with details on times. Admission is $10 per person, $12 per family.
