NOMAR has announced the winners of its annual Kachemak Bay Shorebird Amateur Photo contest. Shelly Twing won a Best of Show and $300 prize as well as first place in the wildlife category. Other winners are:

• First place, scenic: Jerrold Matthews, Kasilof;

• First place, human interest/Alaskana: Cori Miller; and

• People's choice: Jerrold Matthews, Kasilof, for his photograph of an angry goldeneye duck.

Judges were Taz Tally, Rachel Buck and Karen West. All photos in the contest are on display 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at NOMAR, 104 E. Pioneer Ave.
