It isn't too late to be part of a community-wide effort led by HoPP, Homer Playground Project, to build new equipment at the Karen Hornaday Park playground. Since Sunday, volunteers have been busy filling three shifts a day constructing a whole new play area, ensuring workers are fed and ensuring childcare is available. Individuals and teams representing different businesses, agencies and areas of industry will wrap up the week-long activity in time for a celebration at 5:30 p.m. Sunday. To volunteer, visit the web at www.homerplaygroundproject.org.
