Pet of the Week
Cougar's seen the best of times and the worst of times. He was adopted from a shelter in Bremerton, Wash. and now finds himself in the Homer shelter. In between these unfortunate bookends however, Cougar had five years of happiness. He's a neutered Maine Coon/Persian mix who is calm, loves to lap-nap and has a spectacular thick fur coat. He hopes the next chapter in his life will be titled "I Find a Permanent Home Where I am Loved."
It may be warm now, but we're never far from quilt weather. Check out the Homer Animal Friends quilt at Seams To Be and buy some raffle tickets for a great cause. If you would like to adopt a pet, call or stop by the Homer Animal Shelter on the Bypass across from the post office. The shelter is open seven days a week, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Call 235-3141, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org., or visit www.homeranimals.com.
