Firefighters wearing flame-retardant gear douse a mock crash fire a volunteer victims get help.  
Even as firefighters from around the region were called out to live brush fires last Saturday, volunteers from area youth groups joined with firefighters and emergency technicians from Homer Airport and Homer fire stations to perform a disaster drill at the Homer Airport. Involving a mockup crash and fire, the drill was the first full airport exercise in three years.
