A hug for the guides
Dear Editor,

This year's shorebird festival concluded on a glorious Mother's Day, helping to set the stage for the best Friendship Walk ever. It was a great day to walk in our very own Kachemak Bay State Park.

The Friends of Kachemak Bay State Parks would like to extend a very warm bear hug to the great guides for this year's annual Friendship Walk: Willie Dunne and Rich and PeggyEllen Kleinleder. Their participation made the Friendship Walk a rousing success.

Thanks also go to Triton Water Taxi, Mako's Water Taxi and Bay Excursions for donating the voyage across the Bay to Glacier Spit and back. We'd also like to thank the participating bird enthusiasts whose donations go to the very worthy cause of supporting our state park.
