We have been met with overwhelming support and encouragement from the city of Homer and others we contacted in our efforts to get this going. Our first year, we discovered several headstones that had been hidden under years of growth as their loved ones were no longer able to care for their graves. We hope to do more in the future.
We will be providing refreshments on May 21, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and welcome anyone in the community to join us. Please bring any garden tools you have, including wheelbarrows and weed eaters. We welcome all input. Please call me with any ideas or questions you may have at 299-3765.
We are looking forward to a productive day and would love to see you there. Many hands make light work.
Thank you,
Amy Johnson, committee chairperson
