More than 250 community members attended this year and Sammy the Safety Seal and Smokey Bear were there to greet the children. Children explored the resources of more than 30 educational booths. Information was provided on safety in the home, on the water and regarding child passenger safety. The Shriners Hospital was a new and welcome addition this year accompanied by Mr. Endeavor.
More than 30 door prizes, including a bike, were generously donated by our supportive community to be given to those that attended. The Homer Fire Department returned to professionally fit and sell bike helmets.
Thank you to all those who attended, volunteered and donated to make this important event possible again. With your efforts, interest and generosity we can continue working to ensure a safe community.
