What a beautiful spring week we're having. Plenty of sunshine headed our way, zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay, my, oh my what a wonderful day. This weekend brings us Anchor Point highway cleanup day. Needing lots of help to get our Anchor Point community in shape. The winter seems to provide garbage on the roadways and now it's time to pick up what people can't seem to put in the trash. Have a great weekend and be safe. Anchor Point Chamber of Commerce In addition to reminding everyone that highway cleanup is Saturday, the chamber is looking for sponsors to help with the Family Memorial Weekend. Please call 235-2600 if you can help. VFW Post 10221 Saturday the post will have its last pool tournament before picking it back up in August or September. If you are interested in playing pool, sign up at 6:30 p.m. The tournament will start at 7 p.m. Monday night taco night is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday night is burger and brew night from 5 to 7 p.m. The Anchor Point Cemetery cleanup is May 21. Meet at 10 a.m.
