Kachemak Bay Campus




In conjunction with Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival, KBC presents a public panel, The Role of Environmental Journalism in Todays World, with Mark Obmascik, author of The Big Year, author Nancy Lord, and journalist Tom Kizzia, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday. Panelists will discuss writing about the local environment and the connections between media, environment and society. Michael Hawfield, KBC assistant professor of history, moderates.

Public registration for all fall classes is going on now. See the course schedule at www.homeralaska.edu. To earn a college degree, call 235-7743 for an advising appointment. Apply for fall 2012 scholarships now. Several scholarship applications have just been released.

Registration has started for June workshops: Watercolor Painting with Jan Peyton, June 15-18, and Plants/Flora of Kachemak Bay with Ed Berg, June 16-July 14.
