End of an era
Dear Editor,

Homer is experiencing the end of an era. The Duncan House has new owners, Brad and Barb Gamble, and in their new ownership we say goodbye to Kathy and Roger Duncan. I cannot let the change pass without thanking Kathy for all of her generosity to the community and its needs. The Duncans went about quietly offering a hand when needed. Kathy always had a warm smile and a heartfelt hug as you entered the restaurant. She managed to have a minute to ask how your world was and to offer words of comfort in times of stress. She and her husband Roger gave generously in their support of our community and as fellow restaurant owner, Kathy was always willing to share her knowledge of that how to's and where to's in the business world. We shall miss her and her smiles! Thank you for being there for all of us. Happy trails and glorious rides, Kathy.
