Register early for seminar, get break on fee

Staff report

The deadline to enroll in a "Profit Mastery" seminar and take advantage of a reduced registration fee has been extended to May 16.

The class will be from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. June 16 and June 17 at the Homer Chamber of Commerce. It will be presented by Bryan Zak, regional director of the Small Business Development Center.

To qualify for the $200 reduced registration fee, go to http://aksbdc.ecenterdirect.com and click on Training Events. Under Centers, select Kenai Peninsula, search for this seminar and click "Sign Me Up."

This 16-hour hands-on course will help participants set goals for the future of their business, control spending and pricing and leave with a process to assess the performance of their business and a strategy to implement change, according to a press release from the Small Business Development Center.

After May 16, the registration fee will be $395. The reduced fee is made possible through federal jobs bill funding.
