I wanted to write and say that we at Midtown Cafe are deeply disturbed at the possibility of an assault happening to one of "our kids" and our prayers are with the girl who was assaulted.

Midtown's number one priority is, and always has been, the safety of the kids at the cafe and we have a strict hands-off policy regarding displays of affection. This incident has caused us to re-evaluate some of our policies to see where improvement can be made to make the cafe a safer place for the kids inside.

We want to encourage parents who share our concern for safety to come "hang out" at the cafe; working together we can help prevent this type of thing from occurring in the future.
