Basket classes start next week




Basket and story weaver Mavis Muller celebrates the return of sandhill cranes with a four-hour basket weaving class noon-4 p.m. May 9 or May 11. Watch sandhill cranes from her Cranehaven Studio near Mile 4.5 East End Road while you weave a nest-like basket from natural materials.

The class is for beginners ages 9-90 and is $35 a person. Registration is required. Call 235-5132 to sign up.
