The Soccer Association of Homer will hold an informational meeting for parents whose boys and girls age 11 years and up would like to play competitive soccer this summer. The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. May 8 at West Homer Elementary School. Call 235-1832 or 235-4379.

The 5K Alaska Law Enforcement Torch Run and pledge drive to benefit Homer Special Olympics will be at 10 a.m. May 17 from the base of the Homer Spit to Nick Dudiak Fishing Lagoon. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Registration and pledge forms are available at Latitude 59. Call 235-7805 ext. 332 or 299-1606.
