Friends of the Homer Public Library

Storybook hour with Ms. Jolee, for ages two years and up, is from 10-11 a.m. Wednesdays at the library. Free.

Small Fry infant lap-sit with Ms. Jolee, for ages two months-two years, is from 10:30-11 a.m. Thursdays at the library. Free.

Speak for the Peeps, a writing workshop and lecture by Nancy Lord, will be at 1 p.m. May 8 at the library. The event is part of the Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival. Free.

The Young Adult Writers Group, for ages 14-18 years, will be at 2 p.m. May 10 and 24 at the library. Free.

The Express Line Adult Writers Group, for beginning writers, will be at 6 p.m. May 15 at the library. Free.

The Spring Book, Plant and Bake sale will be from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. May 17 at the library. FHL members can get in early at 6:30 p.m. May 16. Proceeds benefit the library and FHL programs.

The Girls Night Out Reading Group, for ages 14-18 years, will be at 6 p.m. May 20 at the library. Readers will discuss works by Anne Lamott. Free.

The library is holding registration for the 2008 Summer Reading Program for ages 3-12 years. Sign up at the library circulation desk. Materials will be available May 25.
