Support encourages grads

I am writing to recognize the Rotary Club of Homer Downtown for their support of Project GRAD Kenai Peninsula's Scholarship Fund. PGKP provides comprehensive college readiness services to low-income minority students in seven underserved Kenai Peninsula School District schools so that every student, regardless of ethnicity or socio-economic background can expect to graduate from high school and have access to college.

The key for turning those expectations into reality is Project GRAD's scholarship program. Rotary Club Homer Downtown's generous donation from the Jane Little Family Endowment Fund reduces significant financial barriers to higher education and job training programs. Additionally, it provides the moral support needed by Project GRAD scholars to persist in their efforts to achieve the full benefits of higher education for which they have worked so hard. Thank you so much.
