Michelle "Shelly" Jean Thomason Wunderlich, 41, died on April 16 in Anchor Point. A service was held Wednesday, April 24 at the Nazarene Church in Anchor Point. A second service is 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at Mountain View Funeral Homer in Lewiston, Idaho, with a luncheon following.

Wunderlich was born Sept. 13, 1960 to Pete and Beverly Thomason in Colfax, Wash. She attended first through 12th grade in Palouse, Wash., where she was active in beauty queen activities for Palouse, school events, sports and serving her classmates as senior class president. After graduating from high school in 1979, she moved to Lewiston, Idaho, where she attended beauty college. Wunderlich graduated from beauty college and started her career in 1981. She married Dale Wunderlich on Jan. 3, 1981. In 1984 the Wunderlichs moved to Anchor Point, where she lived until her death. She loved to hunt moose and fish. Her husband later left the marriage.

Her family said, "Shelly has moved on to be with her Lord and Savior. She will be remembered as a deep and loving friend with a lovely singing voice. More important to Shelly was the love and affection she had for her three sons, Tyler, 20, Ryan, 17, and Cory, 14, to whom she gave continually her time, energy and devotion. .

"Shelly was continually sustained and loved by many close friends in Anchor Point. The family extends their appreciation and prayers to all of those who have given so freely their love to Shelly."

Wunderlich was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Thomason, who died in 1996. She is survived by her father, Pete Thomason, brothers LeRoy Hall, Chris Thomason, all of St. Maries, Idaho, Jim Hall of Boise, Idaho; sister Rena Thomason of Hailey, Idaho; and sons Tyler, Ryan and Cory.
