Homer supported Amnesty
Dear Editor,

Thanks to every who came out in support of Earth Day and Amnesty International at the Saturday, April 20 Earth Day celebration. We would like to thank the Homer Council on the Arts, Larry Merculieff, Bob Shavelson, Tamba! Marimba, The Sacred Spiral, the Bear Claw Bakery, Two Sisters Bakery, Loopy Lupine Recycled Products, Trish Valone and everyone who joined us. Of course, many thanks to each and every members of our group who so willingly helped out. Amnesty International's Just Earth! Network continues to raise awareness around environmental defenders whose human rights are violated and around the impact of globalization on human rights worldwide. Homer's community is a powerful voice in supporting these rights. Thanks for supporting us!

Jeanne Davidson, Amnesty International Group #446
