Library sale went well
Dear Editor,

Somehow, over 900 people crowded into the library on March 30, the day of the spring book, plant and bake sale sponsored by the Friends of the Homer Public Library. They purchased hundreds of books, plants and baked goods. We thank the members of our community for their many donations of appealing books and plants, delicious doughnuts, brownies, cupcakes, cookies and even a couple of loaves of beautiful homemade bread. We are grateful to our dedicated volunteers Tom Goode, Edith Hawkey, Ann Keffer, Karen McRae, Margret Pate, Bobbi Paulino, Kathleen Putman, Melonie Shipman, Cleo Webb, Andy Wills and the Bauer Family. Thank you, people of Homer, for visiting us on a beautiful spring day and making this year's spring book sale a success. You have helped bring the goal of a larger library for Homer a little closer, and we are grateful for your support.

Helen Hill, library director
