* Thank you to all the organizers of the third annual electronics recycling event (taking place this Saturday at SBS). It's great to have this option in Homer!

* Recycling our unwanted electronics at the electronics recycling event on Saturday is a good way to help extend the life of our landfill and keep toxics out of our waste stream. Old electronics contain so many reusable materials to make new electronics without mining for raw materials like gold, silver, lead and much more, that this is a very environmentally conscientious way to deal with this e-waste. I cleaned out my drawers and closets.

* I always try to recycle whatever electronics we have. Some we donate to charity if they are still usable.
