Cleanup Day

These letters are from student in Ms. Demer's fourth grade class at West Homer Elementary School who want to encourage everyone to help with the Cleanup day on May 3 in Homer

Homer is having a Clean-Up day on May 3rd. It is a Saturday so everyone can help make Homer cleaner for the summer. You can win a nice bike and helmet to go with it, or you can win cash. There are lots of prizes-every kid who helps gets to read a grab bag.

So join us and make the town shine.

Sincerely,

Misha Ravin

P.S. You can team with a buddy so see you there!

May 3rd, a Saturday, is Homer Clean-Up Day. You can win prizes, bikes, and cash. When you are picking up trash look for a florescent coupon that is worth ten dollars cash. But everyone wins when we have a cleaner town. It is always more fun than staying in your house and getting bored to go out with friends and do something that has a prize. So mark your calendar for May 3rd. There will be free food too. YUM!

McKinzie Needham

P.S. The more bags you bring in with trash you picked up the more chances you have of winning a new bike or other prizes. Don't forget to wear gloves because trash is dirty.

May 3rd is Homer Clean-Up Day. So get outside and clean up trash with friends. The yellow bags are at the Chamber of Commerce office. If you bring in the bags you could win prizes like cash or a bike. Our town will look cleaner and you will have fun.

Saturday, May 3rd, is Homer Clean-Up Day. If you go out and collect trash from sidewalks and the beach you can win prizes, maybe even a bike. If you find a florescent green coupon it is worth cash. If you help clean up the trash you will make Homer a better place. Animals like sea birds, fish and whales can eat garbage on the beach or in the water so join with friends to help clean up our town. You can bring the trash bags to Homer Chamber of Commerce. Wear bright colors so cars can see you on the side of the road. Show up at the Chamber at 10:00 am and get bags and go out and feel good doing this project for Homer's people.

There are prizes too if you collect the most trash. The Chamber will be open from 9:00 to 4:00 and has food for people to eat as they bring in the trash to be weighed and counted. Dear Editor,

May 3rd is Homer's Clean-Up Day, which is sponsored by the Homer Chamber of Commerce. You can help clean up beaches and sidewalks with groups of people or by yourself. When you bring in full bags you can win prizes like bikes, toys, coupon, cash, and food prizes like certificates to Land's End. Everyone can participate. All you have to do clean up a beach or sidewalk or empty lot. Every time you fill a bag you get the satisfaction of helping the environment. So remember that the Homer Clean-Up Day is one step to a cleaner and safer environment for people and animals.

Sincerely,
