Anna Victor has been accepted to Eastern Washington University, Cheney and awarded a Western Undergraduate Exchange scholarship. She plans to study social work. She has also been listed in "Who's Who Among American High School Students."

Students named to the A Honor Roll at Community Christian School for the third quarter are: elementary, Daniel Gardner, Maggie Graham, Allison Horazdovsky, Hannah Jones and Esther Lowe; secondary, Joelene Arndt, Sara Arsenault, Katelin Arsenault, Joleena Baugh, Deanna Baugh, Jaime Clapp, Laurel Clay, Julia Haakenson, Katy Jones, Carolyn Keene, Anna Keim, Tabitha Mackulin, Jana Porter, Anna Roedl, Shelby Seymour, Shawn Seymour, Joshua Veldstra, Courtney Walker, Lauren Wolford and Lindsey Wolford.

Thanks to a grant from Wells Fargo Bank, the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies sponsors two $500 scholarships for students studying the natural sciences. One scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior from the lower Kenai Peninsula and the second is awarded to a student already attending a college or university. High school students should apply by Tuesday, April 30 and college students by Friday, May 31. Applications are available from counselors or from the CACS office on Lake Street. Call 235-6667.
