Homer Alaska - Letters

The Homer Foundation Youth Advisory Committee is pleased to announce the following recipients of our seventh annual YAC grants which support fun, affordable, easily accessible, and healthy activities for youth: Project GRAD, the Homer Hockey Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Homer, Pier One Youth Theatre, The Center, The Homer Youth String Orchestra Club and the Kachemak Ski Club.

We appreciate our wonderful donors, who have faith in our ability to make wise decisions. Thank you to Nell and Richard Gustafson, Lisa Whip and family, Andy Haas and Terri Spigelmyer, Dave and Beth Schroer, and Harmon and Pauli Hall. Thank you also to Robert and Melon Purcell, who have established the Sheldon Youth to Youth Fund to help support YAC's philanthropic efforts.

The generosity of these individuals, as well as the support of the Homer Foundation Board of Trustees and staff, enabled YAC to distribute a total of $5,860 this year. We were matched in our fund-raising efforts by the Ashley J. Logan Fund, a field-of-interest fund established with the Homer Foundation to benefit youth in the greater Homer area.
